Arabian Nights Theme

My inspiration of course… You guessed it, the newest addition to the craze, the Sex and the City 2 movie! Set in Abu Dhabi surrounded by desert and enveloped by foreign culture and tradition this theme takes shape. From the beauty of the middle east, why not borrow a few ideas on your Wedding day?
The scene should be nothing less than spectacular with a fully lined tent to wow your guests and whip them away to another world. Ottomans and cushions line the room, hand woven carpets provide a soft surface to mingle. Layers of Red, Brown, Orange and Pink fill the room and are illuminated by the glow of flickering candles. Feast on traditional middle eastern fare with a large banquet to tantalise your taste buds and get your guests excited with a belly dancer to entertain. Think intricate traditional henna, like tiny artwork covering your hands and face and even the Wedding cake if you dare. Dress in your own personal style or borrow a few trends from this part of the world to create your own fabulous ensemble. Carry a bouquet of rustic blooms with a few tiny fruits tucked in and transform your traditional floral delight into one that is truly unique.
So live the life of Carrie, Samantha, Charlotte and Miranda for one day and take a page out of their middle eastern adventure. You can even adorn a pair of Carrie’s fabulous $20 shoes and sail away on the magic carpet ride that is; Arabian nights. ♥

GORGEOUS…that’s all I have to say. And so up my alley lately…I’m totally enamored by nomadic/ bedouin chic.

I love the fun sexy element to this theme. I love the detail of the flowers on the cake.
