Bohemian Like You Theme

It’s a trendy thing these days… The Bohemian one, the Boho. The person who’s unconventional, who lives outside the box and doesn’t conform like the rest of us, conforming run-of-the-mill “sheep”. So how do you be a Bohemian bride, whist still keeping a sense of style? Well for one, use deodorant, that’s a given, but also consider an eclectic mix of Vintage charm with the coolness of Boho chic.

Okay so maybe, I’m over-generalising. Boho’s aren’t Hippie’s that’s a whole other theme all together. So for this, it’s about balancing a sense of unique style with a relaxed, I don’t really care if my dinner plates match undertone. For one, colour can become an element that is relaxed and uncomplicated. A miss-matched mix of pretty pastels, each different from the next. An uncoordinated blend of chic vintage elements with a rustic and charming blanket thrown over the top.

Op-shops become your friend as you begin the search for unique pieces that will make your day unique. From eclectic dinner ware for the reception, to hand-made bespoke jewellery and bridesmaid dresses that are an expression of ones personality. Throw a few flowers in your hair, go barefoot and take-off in a hot air balloon for the biggest expression of your individuality. The whole concept screams fun and frivolity, so why not take advantage of that and love your day to the fullest.

So if you can find within you that inner Boho Bride, be inspired by the words of the Dandy Warhols… “Yeah I like you, Yeah I like you and I’m feeling so bohemian like you… And I feel wa-ha-hooo!”. ♥

Thanks for the afternoon inspiration – so fun! I have been looking for dishes similar to the ones in image #9, for one of my brides. I looked at Navy & Lavenders site and they had over 100 gifts. Could you let me know what section you found these in. Thanks!

I think the main point is… dare to be yourself and have fun, and your guests will love your wedding as much as you do!
