Emily’s Spring English Theme
by onewhitedress on 30/11/09 at 9:00 am
Thanks to Member Emily for sharing her unique and traditional Wedding vision with One White Dress. A mix of Springtime elegance and Proper English custom makes for a stunning result.
Together Emily and her fiance Pete settled on a Black and White traditional theme with a splash of crisp spring green. Pete’s roots are English which provided the perfect heritage for a Wedding day unique and different to that commonly seen in Australia. A Rolls Royce provides the perfect means of transport, and the Groom would be seen in nothing less than a tailored Morning suit. Each Bridesmaids dress will not only compliment the theme, but also their body shape as each will wear a unique black ensemble and carry a bouquet of Green and White blooms. With a string quartet playing as she walks down the aisle, no doubt Emily will also look the part.
The couple envisioned their ceremony in a Church. “We are being married in my old school sandstone chapel at Rose Bay over looking Sydney Harbour” Emily describes. Guests will then be treated to 180 degree views at the Star Room at Dockside in Darling Harbour. No doubt that family and friends travelling from abroad will love this little piece of Australia which plays a kind host to this traditional event.
It’s always exciting to see new ideas and creative boundaries pushed when it comes to Weddings, but there’s something about the traditional and the timeless that is so special. I’m sure Emily and Pete will look back on their day with fondness in their heart and memories that will last a lifetime. Thanks so much for sharing your ideas with One White Dress Emily. Looking forward to seeing your beautiful vision realised. ♥
