Green Sunshine Theme

As crisp and crunchy as a fresh granny smith plucked off the tree… This theme screams sunshine! For this inspiration board I’ve selected Apple Green and Sunny Yellow for a very achievable and not to mention effective, colour combo. I just love yellow in weddings, it’s happy and uplifting and you can’t help but smile on the inside when you see it. Depending on the desired result you can go with one of two options here…
1. Ultra Casual. For this version dress your bridesmaids in mini baby-doll dresses in bright yellow and carry a unstructured hand tied bouquet with a mix of green Helleborus and Yellow Zinnia’s. Serve your guests Lemon macaroons and minted coolers and have a picnic in your favourite downtown garden or even in your own backyard. It’s sweet, it’s relaxed and it works.
2. Grown-up Elegance. In this version bridesmaids would be dressed in full-length gowns in chiffon or silk in a softer shade of Butter Yellow. Your bouquet would be a structured yet delicate posy of Jonquils and Ranunculus. Guests would be served Limoncello Martinis and canapes set in a hidden oasis, a renovated space with a charming character and a sunny disposition. It’s refined, it’s romantic and it works too.
So whether your going for the relaxed party vibe or the formal refined celebration, don’t be afraid to sample from this colour menu. No longer is yellow a colour only chosen for unborn babies nurseries, it’s a refreshing an delightful tone equally as suitable for grown-ups as well. ♥

Love the yellow… it’s the colour of choice for my wedding! I’m thinking of teaming it with coral… opinions???

Love the idea of the yellow and coral combo Lauren! Coral works really well teamed with yellow tones because it’s more muted then say a candy pink or fuchsia pink… Do you have an inspiration board showing what you have in mind? If you would like to submit it to share with others I’d love to see it!
