Princess For a Day Theme

The headlines all read that 2010 will be the year for colourful Weddings, but isn’t it nice sometimes to see something softer… more muted. Silver is the perfect colour to depict this vision and with a few royal touches and some sparkle thrown in, can really make for an unforgettable Wedding day Theme.

This Princess Theme is a clever way to use motifs and accessories as the main feature rather than colour. By using a muted Silver tone accompanied by crisp White, the focus is on the subtle and delicate touches. From the mini tiara place card holders to the crown adorning the Wedding cake, shiny, sparkly accents take centre stage. The soft metallic Silver tone is a beautiful way to tie it all together and can be used in a multitude of ways. I love the silver embroidery, embellishing this Henri Josef gown and it teams perfectly with the pale silver bridesmaid dresses.

These gorgeous Wedding Invitations by Dochelle are a great example of pale, simple tones can be brought alive with a pretty motif and it doesn’t stop there. Silver can also be accented with flowers in a surprising and sophisticated way. Dusty Miller and Lambs Ear are great examples of silver foliage used to compliment white or neutral coloured flowers. Let your creativity go wild and dream of the possibilities that delicate colour can offer. And what Fairytale  theme would be complete without a horse and carriage? This truly is a Wedding theme fit for a Princess. ♥

I love the cake topper, it looks like a crown that could have been worn by the bride.
