A Garter For a Goddess

A Garter For a Goddess

Having never been a huge garter fan myself, I was at first intrigued and then rather astonished when I come across the range from UK designer, Florrie Mitton. Being an avid lover of all things Weddings, I just never understood the reason to prevail with such an outdated custom. After seeing the glorious array of feminine, timeless pieces, each so pretty subtly elegant, I hate to admit it… But I may have crossed over.

From French Lace to Silk ribbons, sparking Rhinestones to spotted Tulle, Pearl Trim to Beaded Applique. It’s official… I’m hooked. All things pretty, tied up with a duck-egg Blue bow and boxed conveniently for your viewing pleasure. I’m slowly realising they are more than just a tight little elastic band gripping your upper thigh, forcing all the blood below to pool in your knee.  They’re a reflection of your taste, your style, your personality. More than underwear or pretty stockings, a garter is a hidden little gem.

Who could say no to something called Je t’iame, Goddess or Glitterati? Even the names are addictive… Now I suddenly ask myself why I paid so much attention to my Wedding day jewellery when all I really needed to make my statement was a Ethereal Silk Tulle Garter with a big Silk Bow and Lucky Horseshoe Charm with sparkly Crystals! So whether I’m preaching to the choir or you too are a converted member like myself, check-out the range and Florrie Mitton and garter the Goddess within. ♥

OMG they are gorgeous. I’m not a real fan and only wore one on the day because my mother bought me one. I did however buy a Rockabilly style one for the garter toss.

They are devine! Some of them would look gorgeous as a headband too!

These are truly unique — they would be a perfect fit for a vintage themed wedding!

Slightly more attractive than polyester lace… LOL. Nice to see something different!

These garters really are gorgeous – they look even more fabulous in reality than on the picture!

we wonder.. are they really for brides only? our lingerie-obsessed buyer is determined to wear one at a ‘special’ date! we’re all waiting to hear about it.. :)
