All Mapped Out

A Wedding map… It’s like an old-fashioned GPS for those of you who have been swallowed up by the world of technological advances. A good old mud-drawing of the area in which you wish to go and directions on how to get there. I love a little map included in an Invitation. Not only are they a considerate means to ensure your guests safe arrival, but a dandy way of injecting some personality and class in what is really nothing more than a paper envelope.
I love these Natty Michelle hand drawn maps, available from her Etsy store… Each one is a unique and personalised mini artwork… With subtle water colour design, finished with cursive street names, landmarks and directions, I’d be excited to receive my very own in the post. They really are bringing back the old-fashioned we each have deep, deep, deep down inside. The part of us that knows that a hand drawn paper map, complete with cute little illustrations is far more chic and personal than a computerised device. A device that insists on telling us we are going the wrong way, even when we know the truth… I am driving down a one way street, there is no other way, you stupid, stupid British lady living inside my GPS.
So when searching for your Invitations, deciding on fonts, letterpress style, paper colour and design consider this… A little classic mud-map sure goes a long way. Why not include one and treat your guests to a little reminder of the innocent days long before we evolved and in turn grew a fifth limb… The one commonly referred to as an iPhone. ♥

We did something similar…. we had a map of our ceremony location in our OOS. It was a very big garden, and this was a great way to make sure everyone found the right spot
