Blooming Lilacs!

The final installment of Blooming August features the romantic Lilac… Cylindrical stems of tiny White, Purple or Pink blossoms, each heavily scented and perfect for creating dream-like bridal bouquets.
While their colour range is limited, this flower is much more than a pretty face. Similar in shape to that of the Hydrangea this bloom works well in mass, clustered in large bunches for a fresh-picked-straight-out-of-the-garden look. There’s something old-worldly and timeless about this flower… I can just imagine the Brides of yesteryear plucking stems of pale Purple Lilac to accompany their pretty lace gown. Why not capture a little of that timeless essence and carry a swig or two of the sweetest smelling flower? Displayed perhaps with your favourite antique Roses, Hyacinths of Sweet Peas for a soft romantic look or carried in a bundle all on it’s own… This flower provides the essence of timeless, fragrant perfection in any blooming bouquet.
