So you have chosen Blue as your primary wedding colour… Whether it’s Cobalt, Aqua, Sky or Navy, one thing you may encounter is the limited variety of flowers available to coordinate with your theme. There’s a plethora of Pink in every shade, and no shortage of Yellow or Red, but Blue definitely drew the short straw when it came to variety for wedding blooms.

In saying all that, Blue has produced some of the most unique flowers available, you just need to know where to look. Take for example the Iris, available in several varieties but it’s the vivid Peacock shade that makes for a real show stopper. There’s also Sweet Pea, Delphiniums, Hyacinths, Muscari and Agapanthus. Not to mention the ‘cheaters’ version of Singapore Orchids, cleverly died to create a vivid and striking tropical statement.

Blue is a great colour to mix and coordinate with contrasting tones. So if  you’d rather not see your guests turn an unsavory shade of blue from colour overload, then why not add a splash of Lemon Yellow, Leaf Green or Crisp White to add variance and bring your theme to life. ♥
