Cakeout… Day Two - All Tied Up

Today’s category for the Cakeout with my Fork out is all about Bows… Pretty, trendy, feminine bows, elegantly crafted from sugar and proudly displayed on a most fashionable cake.

Neutral tones from white to ivory, coffee to caramel, mocha to chocolate allow the bows to take centre stage on each of these delicious cakes. Colour is not necessary but would rather be overkill as the simple motif of the Bow is enough to transform a simple Wedding cake into a work of art. From ornate gift wrapped packages to pretty lace detailing and seamless fondant, a bow on is really the ‘icing on the cake’… pardon the pun.
