Cinderella Circa 2009

If I had walked in Cinderella’s shoes in the timeless fairy tale, and on that fateful night to have misplace one of my glass slippers, I would have leaped for joy and hailed a cab to take me down to the nearest Manolo Blahnik. These days we are fortunate enough to have the luxury of footwear made of materials other than glass in an abundance of fashionable styles and not to mention amazing colours.
Brides today are no longer a reflection of the fairytale but are fearless rather, when given the chance to show a little spontanaety and wear a shoe they truly love. Cherry red silk pumps or Lime green stilettos, just the slightest hint of colour peeking under any wedding dress is refreshing and uplifting. Heaven forbid it fails to match their diamond white shantung Monique Lhuillier Couture gown.. And hallelujah to that! I can’t remember the last time a bride went shopping and picked up a pair of ivory satin slingbacks with a round covered toe and squealed excitedly… ‘ooh I could totally wear these again!”
We are re-writing the fairytale for the twenty first century and in our book Cinderella’s slippers are Jimmy Choos Silk satin open toe platform sandal in Turquoise with a 105mm heel, wide cross over straps on toe with ruched casing and a thin diamante buckle fastening ankle strap… But lets just say we wont be fleeing the scene in our carriage after losing one of our precious sandals, waste of a perfectly good $700 investment, turn this pumpkin around and find my shoe! ♥

I’ll take a pair of each! What absolutely fabulous shoes!! I totally agree with the article too - I could never have worn ivory shoes for my wedding. My purple ones were me to a T!
