Dessert: One – Cake: Zero

Thanks to the fabulous feedback from our loyal Members, each of you can look forward to seeing your clever ideas here on One White Dress… Winner Rebecca, made the genius suggestion to feature more dessert alternatives. So to get the ball rolling, here’s a few unique cake-free ways to delight your guests.
With Weddings fast becoming an individual and personal event, rather than a traditional one, why keep the old-fashioned Cake trend going if you really don’t want to? Rebecca said herself that her and her fiance prefer to be cake-less on their big day and rather opt for a sweet treat after dinner. So why not tempt the taste buds with a ever popular chocolate fountain? Pure liquid molten goobyness accompanied with sweet cakes, fruits and marshmallows to dip. Or perhaps your a lover of the gelato? What comes cuter than mini ice-cream cones served to guests as part of a roving dessert buffet. You can even take the idea a step further and erect a Sundae servery, complete with cones, toppings, wafers and sprinkles to inject some fun and frivolity!
Not your style? Then why not think mini Parfait… In the words of Donkey… “Everybody loves parfait… Parfaits are delicious!“. Or even my favorite, tiny Petit Fours and a selection of sweet pastries, the perfect finale to what was an elegant and sophisticated affair. But regardless of what you chose, your sure to have happy endings as we settle the score. Dessert: One – Cake: Zero. It’s Game on! ♥

Yummo!!!! WE had a dessert buffer styled in pinks, browns and whites! It was such a hit! We had a cake too, but seeing these gorgeous images takes me back to our day!….we even had those mini gelato cones….
Seeing Masterchef last night inspired me too…you could have a tower of cookies or macaroons instead of a cake…. mmmmmm

I remember seeing in a magazine a “wedding cake” that was actually a tiered cupcake stand filled with all sorts of different tarts. Yummo!

Yuuummmm!!! What a great idea!! It makes me think of big family get-togethers where there is a whole buffet of deserts and you can choose what you like. I personally would happily sacrifice sweet for savory, so the whole thing appeals to me completely!

Love the idea of many little deserts rather than one cake, great ideas above!
maybe even some jelyl and ice cream!!!
You see the giant tiers of cupcakes everywhere at the moment, a miniature selection of classic deserts would be lovely!

Fantastic!! So many delicious desserts. They are beautiful and delicious. Treating them as wedding desserts and choosing what you like by yourself on the wedding is a good idea.
