If you woke up in the morning after a vivid dream filled with baked confections how could you bring that dream to life? Tiers of layered pound cake, shaped and moulded into funky shapes, icing as bright and surreal as the rainbow and a twist that can only come from the deepest of human sleep-mode. I think these designers must have been dreaming when they created these amazing masterpieces, pushing the boundaries of couture cake decorating, resulting in something that is almost too good to eat.

The Topsy-Turvy style is by no means a new cake creation but some of these fancies take it to a whole new dimension. ‘Would you prefer two tiers or three?’ ‘Round, Square or Oval?’ Questions soon to become that of ancient myths and replaced with ‘What fantasy do you want to create via your cake today?’ How about a Super Mario delight, complete with crowning castle and adorned with miniature game characters? Or maybe a giant ice-cream sundae is more your style? And don’t forget the cherry on top.

So why not taser your guests into a sense of tasty-trance with an edible delight that wears it’s heart on it’s sleeve. A dream, a fairy-tale perhaps that is allowed it’s one and only day to shine, before being cut up and placed in tiny boxes to savour secretly later. ♥
