Floral Arches

When planning my own wedding I knew I wanted lots of flowers. Fluffy full-blooms with fragrance, like Peonies, David Austin Roses, Spray Roses, Hydrangeas and Lilac. Aside from my bouquet and our bridal party’s flowers I couldn’t go past including a fancy Floral Arch. A place for us to stand and say our I-Do’s and a centrepiece for everyone to enjoy. Floral Arches, Arbours, Rotundas and Chupas have been a popular way for couples to make a stylish statement for many years. What better way to decorate your ceremonial place and be surrounded with natures most beautiful gift.
If cost is an issue then talk to your florist about more affordable blooms to use. For our arch we ended up going with Disbuds for the larger more statement flowers as they are much cheaper that Peonies and more readily available than David Austin Roses, but still achieve the same look. We also included a quantity of foliage and greenery as filler which made our budget stretch that little bit further.
In terms of style, some couples opt for an extravagant show of thousands of blooms to create an affluent and majestic setting for their vows. On the other hand, some get away with only foliage or a small amount of carefully selected flowers to make an informal yet, modest statement. So if you dream of masses of flowers for your weddings this may just be something to consider, regardless of your budget. Nature’s gift of flowers comes is many forms, it’s just up to you to chose which ones you love the most! ♥
