Home Sweet Thanks

Nothing says Thank-You more than a gift from the heart… A homemade treat that fills your home with wafts of sweet baked perfume and tastes like a slice of pure heaven. And what better way to share a little of your favourite DIY delight, than with your guests on the yummiest day of your life.
Whether your a natural baker at heart, your mum’s a whiz at the stove or Aunt Millie has that stunning recipe up her sleeve, there’s something delightfully innocent about homemade goodies. Maybe it’s those melt-in-your-mouth Chocolate Chip Cookies you’ve grown up on, or that Lemon Curd preserve which you can remember from morning tea with your mother and her friends. Maybe it’s rich Chocolate Brownies, humble loaves of homemade Bread, or perhaps a sugary Toffee Apple to tempt your guests taste buds and transcend them to a time and a place away in your past. Either way you can’t go wrong.
So I hear you asking… How on earth am I going to make 200 chocolate brownies the day before my Wedding!? Why not invest in the help of those who made those brownies a memory for you in the first place? A lady-like-bake-off with all the people who know their way around the stove. An Aunt, a Grandma or two, a Sister or a Sister-in-Law, even a few Nieces or Granddaughters can complete the equation. Many hands make light work and together can help you prepare a thank-you not only from your heart, but from the heart of your family… Then all that’s left to do is wake-up and smell the Brownies, before your I-do’s become another sweet memory of their own. ♥

What a wonderful idea. Not only do the homemade gifts make a thoughtful gift but the act of baking the with the family members makes another special memorable day for you as well.
