The wonderful world of Etsy provides us with creative, hand-made treasures so unlike anything you would find in any department store. Special little morsels of someones personality displayed and sold to those looking for something truly unique. It’s like a craft market with a www. in front of it.

The beautiful selection of Lovebird cake toppers really caught my eye… Gone are the days of the little plastic bride and groom as we beckon a new era, something more innocent, far cuter and much more chic. Each Etsy store presents their own flavour and puts their personalised stamp on this adorable feathered trend.

I truly adore these simplistic, minimalist glazed designs by Sugar Rush Creations. A clever use of a simple motif, elegant and refined in style making them perfect for any modern wedding cake. Aside from their flawless design, it’s the fact that no two birds are identical, which really inspires me. As Sugar Rush says “that’s part of their charm”. What a perfect representation of a Bride and Groom, unique and one-of-a-kind in their own right.

For a more characterised and ornate version check out these quaint clay works of art created by Red Light Studio.
