Mauve/Violet Bouquets

Unfortunately in the past this colour range has been associated with any female over the age of 60. OK, I’m going to say it “Mauve is for Grandmas”. Luckily today it’s a tone you can chose and expect stunning results without a single grey hair or crochet doily in sight.
If you have chosen mauve/purple/violet/lavender for your wedding colours you’re in luck when it comes to flowers. So many blooms are available in these tones so you are spoilt for choice. Consider a textured hand-tied bouquet of blooms such as Sweet Pea, Dendrobium Orchids, Hyacinths and Lisianthus or a structured round posy of Antique Roses. I love variety when it comes to floral arrangements because there’s so much more potential for texture and visual interest.
If your scratching your head deciding on complimentary colours to team with your purple scheme you have a few options. For a delicate, understated palette simply mix of Lavender and Ivory. For a more dramatic statement match Violet with Apple Green. Or brighten things up and team Purple with Butter Yellow. Whatever combo you decide on, you’ll be sure to have a stunning result minus the Granny factor. ♥
