Perfection in White

I am lucky enough to grow my own Roses, in large square pots, on my back deck. Beautiful David Austin blooms and one in particular, flowers almost all year round. With it’s fluffy petals and full-bodied figure, it doesn’t even phase me that it has no colour. Perfect porcelain White in fact makes it a favourite of mine, and no place is a more ideal setting than in a beautiful bridal bouquet.

Your gown is White, your veil and shoes match the same and the pretty pearls adorning your ear lobes coordinate with perfection. As much as a strong burst of hot Pink or sunshine Yellow adds contrast and interest to a bridal ensemble, you just can’t beat the purity and traditional charm of a White bouquet. I particular love those which experiment with floral combinations, selecting varying blooms that compliment and accent each other with various textures and tones. Take my backyard Roses for example… Just add Peonies, Lambs Ear and Spray buds for a truly elegant and romantic posy. Or why not try pure white Phalaenopsis Orchids with the contrast of Tulips and Calla Lilies for a modern, eye-catching display.

Usually I’ll tell you, ‘never be afraid of using colour’, but today I sing a different tune, reminding you that often the oldies are the goodies and there’s nothing more perfect than a Porcelain White David Austin Rose to bring a glow to your bouquet for a day. ♥

I love these ideas, I’m having a winter wedding so the ice white look and the feathers will look perfect! I must say the picures are stunning!
