This has got to be one the of the most dynamic and vibrant wedding-colour-combinations I have seen in some time…  A rich palette of Aubergine and Orange made for a stunning wedding day created by One White Dress Member Melanie and her husband Paul.

To reflect their love of fashion accessories, the couple knew they wanted a wedding day filled with colour and flair. Pure accident lead them to their selection with an impromptu trip to a local cafe. The menu offered them not only coffee and cake, but a perfect colour theme to boot. From that point on the concept was brought to life in every facet of the day. From the fashion to the flowers, the cake to the ceremony and everything in between. This bride’s attention to detail is what makes this wedding truly unique.

Melanie’s love for headwear prompted her to wear a veiled fascinator from Statement Millinery on the day, rather than a traditional veil. Her three bridesmaids followed suit wearing vivid Aubergine gowns accessorised with Orange fascinators and matching shoes. To accompany her stunning Silk Essense gown, Melanie couldn’t help but indulge her love of fancy footwear and complete her look with a pair of Purple strappy stilettos.

The flowers created by Ivy Floral Design accented the couples love for colour with a blend of Asiatic lilies, Cymbidium orchids, Roses, Berries and Foliage in natural stemmed posies. The same floral selection was continued at the Reception adorning each table with “freshly picked” arrangements. Even the Cake by Leanne Rossetto received the same careful treatment. “We’ve always loved the multi-coloured mad-hatter cakes and decided that ours had to be bright and cheerful just like the rest of our wedding”, said Melanie. It become a quirky and fun inclusion to the reception which was a big hit with their guests.
