The Ball Gown Silhouette

It’s the first picture to mind when we imagine a fairytale princess wedding.  The narrow fitted bodice and over sized flowing skirt. You can envision meters of  lace and tulle, a well strung corset and a tiara on top. If this is the style you dream of then you just cant go past a Ball Gown. This silhouette is commonly strapless accentuating the shoulders. It can be crafted to include any style of waistline, be it natural, higher, lower or a V. Under the gown of a multitude of layers you will commonly find a hoop, this gives the full skirt it’s shape and round defined appearance. A Ball Gown is suited to small to medium bodies with hourglass figures but with the right corset and personalised styling any bride could pull off this look and too marry their Prince Charming. ♥
